We’re Launching a Podcast!

When your organization is 125 years old, it’s hard to find things that you’ve never done before, but I’m confident in this announcement: For the first time ever, HR Source is launching a podcast!

DEI: Amplifying Vital Voices podcast branding

DEI: Amplifying Vital Voices, hosted by our very own Candace Fisher, features organizations who support or employ folks who are underrepresented in the workforce or face unique challenges at work. Since HR Source hangs out at the three-way intersection of business, non-profit services, and employment, we’ll be highlighting organizations that create a pathway to employment, as well as the employers themselves who excel at inclusive hiring and retention.

If you’re anything like me, you already have a podcast queue full of overdue episodes. Why should ours be at the top of your list?

  • If you’re frustrated with sourcing candidates for your open jobs, you might learn to recognize invisible barriers in your organization that keep qualified candidates from getting hired or even applying in the first place.
  • You might discover a whole new pool of folks with outstanding skills to fill those open positions.
  • If you’re trying to create a more inclusive organizational culture, you might learn how the workplace feels to people who are different from you.
  • If you’re revising policies with an eye toward DEI, you might learn how to create equity for the employees you have today and those you’ll recruit tomorrow.
  • And, if you’re serving or employing folks whose employment rates are lower than average, you might get the chance to broadcast your success – we’re looking for more guests!

We’ve dropped two episodes so far, featuring HR Source members DuPagePads and Ray Graham Association, with more to follow in the coming weeks.
