When I became a homeowner, a friend gave me some seriously good advice: “You need a go-to list of people,” he said. “Who?” I asked. “You need a reliable plumber, electrician, carpenter, and a roofer.” Never a wiser thing was shared in my first tumultuous years of ownership. It took kissing many frogs to find the right folks, but once I did, these fine tradespeople alleviated my stress, made my house issues more manageable, and were fair, prompt, tidy, and reliable.
In the world of HR, everyone should have a go-to list of consultants, brokers, accountants, recruiters, and attorneys. HR Source, we aspire to be your go-to, and we’re fortunate to have achieved that status for so many employers. We even have a group of raving super fans that reach out to us within minutes of arriving at a new job.
As an employer ourselves, we’re no different than the members we serve. Our list of trusted vendors is short, distinguished, and makes running our business easier. We’ve cultivated relationships with knowledgeable providers through trial and error and by putting people through their paces in service to our constituents. When we find a good referral, we invite them to become a Provider Partner and shout their awesomeness to the world.
So, here’s a shout-out to OneDigital Health and Benefits. They’re our insurance broker and have been for decades. They’re immensely knowledgeable about the industry, the complexities of the market, and the trends in employee benefits. When we need clarification on a benefit, they’re our go-to. And they also serve as a deep-knowledge supplement to our HR Hotline when we’re challenged by a complex or unique member question.
Furthermore, I’m always a little surprised when members call the HR Hotline to ask about something their own brokers should be handling. It’s simply not been our experience not to have a strong relationship with one of our most important partners. I hope you consider them as one of your future go-tos. As a taste of what to expect when you empower OneDigital Health and Benefits go out to market on your behalf, here are their insights on the rising cost of employer health benefits.
