There’s a lot going on in the world that’s affecting us in HR. Lately, you may feel overwhelmed, frustrated, or like you’re out there facing issues alone. Personally, I feel very fortunate. Being a part of HR Source, not only do I work with a team of great HR professionals, but I get to interact with a multitude of leaders and professionals through our HR Hotline and member meetings every week.

AltogetherHR 2025 logoI’m especially looking forward to our upcoming Altogether HR 2025 conference where I’ll have the opportunity to learn more about what is going on in the world of HR. We have three impactful general sessions that I’m eager to attend:

Communication Techniques to Transform Your Relationships. This high-energy session will provide tips and techniques to transform how you communicate in your personal and professional life.

HR Hotline Live. The Hotline is one of my favorite parts of working at HR Source. Our team shares questions and topics of particular interest, and we’re all constantly learning. This is your chance to “take a peek behind the curtain” and learn from these real-world challenges.

Employment Law Update. Always a favorite, this session will address real court cases involving workplace disputes, discrimination, wrongful termination, and more. You’re sure to gain valuable insight to help navigate complex workplace situations.

The most difficult part of attending Altogether HR 2025 will certainly be choosing from the following three breakout sessions:

The New Pay Transparency Regulations. Join the Illinois Department of Labor's Equal Pay Manager, Amy Sneirson, as she breaks down the amendments to the Illinois Equal Pay Act of 2003, shares insider insights on compliance, and answers your burning questions about enforcement.

Managing Immigration Challenges in 2025. Get ready to tackle the evolving challenges of the U.S. immigration system head-on in 2025! Don’t miss this opportunity to gain expert tips and learn to minimize business disruptions while keeping your organization on track.

Mental Health Matters: Workplace Grief. Jody LaVoie will guide you in developing and implementing strategies to normalize grief and foster empathy, ensuring that employees feel valued while maintaining productivity.

Of course, there will be plenty of opportunities to interact with your peers through our new lunchtime program “Find Your People.” We’re planning a purposeful experience designed to facilitate connection on issues that matter most to you. Participants in Find Your People will be assigned to a lunch table with others who share similar interests and challenges.

I’m eager to see you at our upcoming conference. For more information and to register, visit our conference website and save the date – April 10, 2025.
