Non-Profit organizations are constantly having to adjust their strategies to be able to provide their services and carry out their missions. There’s been no shortage of speed bumps already this year with the potential for many more. From funding challenges to staffing issues to regulatory and compliance stresses, there’s a lot to navigate. 

Although we don’t have all the answers for easing these pressures, there is one tool in the HR Source arsenal that can help combat some of the uncertainty by delivering a plethora of data pertaining to your workforce. Benchmarking your pay against industry standards can help retain valued staff members and attract new talent when needed. This resource specifically designed for our non-profit employers is the recently released 2025 Illinois Non-Profit Survey. The survey is available to HR Source members and non-members alike. Organizations that contributed data received a free copy of the final report; those who didn’t can purchase the survey.

This year, 257 organizations contributed data for 9,534 employees in 111 jobs. Compensation data is broken out by budget categories, employment size, and service industry. This year’s report also includes a benefits section with data on paid leaves, medical insurance, disability, reimbursements, retirement and more.
